In this message, first preached in C3 Bathurst on 17 November 2024, Col continues our series: Temple 2.0: Return, Rebuild, Renew. Told through the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi, we will follow the people of Israel as they return to Jerusalem and begin to rebuild not only the temple but their identity as God’s people.
This week we compared the message of Haggai and Zechariah to God's people after they stopped rebuilding the temple. We then compared Solomon's temple and Zerubbabel's temple to God's ultimate plan for His temple - to dwell amongst His people.

We are introduced to the three broad themes of Ezekiel:
- A history of unfaithfulness
- Consequences of unfaithfulness
- Visions of new hope ... this is not the end!
And then we are provided with an overview of the ten visions Ezekiel receives, as God seeks out His people to regather, restore, return, rebuild and change them with an everlasting covenant. We hear of a future temple filled with God's glory and that God's glory will one day fill the world again.

Many things present circumstances of winter in our life. It's easy to be overwhelmed by these situations. They are real and sometimes extremely painful and we often let the externals determine our internal season.
Song of Solomon is an invitation from God to his beloved, us, to come away. It's a promise that in Him everything has the possibility for new growth, colour and life. He is offering an eternal spring in our spirit.

In the book of Songs of Solomon we ponder the idea that salvation is a love story, and see that God considers us beautiful, that we have captured His heart, we appear as fair, bright and majestic, and He wants to hear our voice.
Through this relationship we experience blessing (Songs 2:4), love and friendship (Songs 5:16), security and safety (Songs 7:10).
